Position Summary:
Arizona Center for Change (AZCFC) is a recognized leader in the delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services for justice-involved populations. For over 20 years, we have specialized in structured, accountability-driven treatment designed to reduce risk and support long-term behavioral change.
We are seeking a licensed clinical therapist to join our forensic program, working primarily with adult clients involved in the criminal justice system. This role includes providing treatment to individuals with a history of sexually harmful behaviors within a highly structured, evidence-based model.
Clinicians in this role are supported by an experienced team and work within a program that emphasizes clear expectations, measurable progress, and meaningful clinical impact.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate client risk, needs, and treatment readiness
Develop and implement offense-specific, evidence-based treatment plans
Provide group, individual, and family therapy
Utilize standardized risk assessment tools to inform treatment planning
Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress in a timely and clinically sound manner
Collaborate with probation, referring agents, and other stakeholders to support coordinated care
Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Maintain high-quality clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Caseload may include a limited number of non-forensic clients based on program needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a behavioral health or related field
Licensed or license-eligible through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LAC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW)
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with court-involved or high-risk populations
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
CPR/First Aid certification
Supervision toward independent licensure is available.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing treatment to individuals with sexually harmful behaviors
Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral, motivational, and relapse prevention models
Familiarity with Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) principles
Experience with structured risk assessment tools
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
