Licensed Esthetician

Bergamos Retreat is seeking an Experienced Esthetician to join our Family!

Position Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate advanced esthetician to perform skin, body, and hair removal treatments. The esthetician will consult with clients to assess their requirements, make informed recommendations and explain services, assist them to select appropriate treatments, and ensure their care and satisfaction. The esthetician will ensure treatments start and end on time. You will maintain knowledge to promote and sell services and retail products. You will ensure work areas are clean and tidy, equipment is sanitized and linens are clean at all times, and treat clients in a courteous and empathetic manner.

To ensure success you should meet revenue goals, ensure client retention, and build a solid client base. Ideal candidates will be empathetic, caring, and professional, and have the ability to make others feel good about themselves.

Core Responsibilities:

• Results-oriented skin care. Improve the skincare of each client and any areas of concern by evaluating the customer’s skin and performing world-class treatments
• Make recommendations for future treatments and pre-book follow-up appointments
• Inform guests about specials in all departments, holiday gifts, packages, and anything that might correspond to their needs
• Perform facials which include exfoliation, resurfacing, chemical peels, award-winning herbal green peels, oxygen facial treatments, radiofrequency ultra-sound firming treatment, and other skin refinements
• Recommending skincare products to customers, including lotions, facial washes, and moisturizers. Sell products and meet sales goals
• Provide facials and all waxing to the best of your abilities
• Keep personal relationships to a minimum with the clients to focus on treatment
• Complete all services within the standard time frames
• Continue to improve your techniques by reading, experiencing, training, and watching.
• Research past experiences your guest has had so that you may better serve them
• Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions
• Maintain beauty and skincare tools
• Promote a positive atmosphere and come to work with a smile
• Immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind
• Assist with laundry
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

• The professional license must be up to date with TDLR
• 1 year minimum of experience isrequired
• Able to bring your own clientele (preferred)
• High work ethic and self-initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a talent for making people feel comfortable and better about themselves
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
• Extensive knowledge of skincare techniques
• Strong time management abilities
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines
• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain staff and guest confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

• Thoroughly and efficiently perform services to clients
• Sit, stand, and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
• Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies, using safe lifting techniques
• Grasping, writing, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, hearing ability, and visual ability
