Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals facing various mental health challenges. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering effective therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating their goals and preferences.
  • Offer specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and behavioral therapy.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards.
  • Engage in crisis management and intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and case management.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions when appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance service delivery and contribute to the field of mental health.
  • Participate in Social Media and other company related events/projects.

Requirements

  • Valid license as a Professional Counselor or Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York or Connecticut
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, behavior management, and patient assessment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation practices.
  • Experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through training in areas such as clinical counseling techniques and telehealth practices. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $80.00 per hour
