We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pennsylvania Licensed Title Agent / Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. This role involves managing complex real estate transactions and closings, conducting thorough legal research, and providing essential administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong real estate settlement processing, deed drafting, document review, and project management skills, with experience across various legal practice areas including real estate, estate planning and administration, and business law preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage real estate transactions from inception to closing, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct detailed legal research across transactional practice areas such as real estate, estate planning and administration, and business law.
- Draft and review legal documents including deeds, contracts, and other legal documents and filings with precision and adherence to firm standards.
- Maintain and organize case files using document management systems Qualia, MyCase, and SharePoint; ensure accurate data entry and document review.
- Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling closings, managing correspondence, proofreading documents, and maintaining filing systems.
- Assist attorneys, legal, real estate teams with client interviews and document collection; ensure effective communication via phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Support project management initiatives related to both legal cases and real estate transactions; coordinate deadlines and deliverables efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to real estate transactions and legal procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience in Pennsylvania real estate title insurance and settlement services is required; paralegal experience in a law office setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of real estate transactions and title insurance; fundamental understanding of estate planning and administration and business law.
- Proficiency with real estate management software such as Qualia; familiarity with document management systems like SharePoint; legal software preferred.
- Strong research skills for complex legal issues across various practice areas.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is essential.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with data entry, filing systems (physical or electronic), and administrative tasks such as phone etiquette and clerical support. This role is ideal for a dedicated title professional eager to contribute to a reputable firm and expand their expertise in the legal field.
