Lighting Designer Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform lighting calculations, photometric analysis, and simulations using professional software (DIALux, Relux, AGi32).
• Design lighting layouts, fixture selection, and control strategies for industrial facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with international and local standards (IEC, IES, CIE, EN, OSHA, NFPA as applicable).
• Prepare technical documentation:
• Lighting design reports and calculation sheets
• Technical drawings (AutoCAD / Revit)
• Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material specifications
• Review client/project requirements and develop optimal lighting solutions.
• Integrate lighting design with electrical systems, automation, and control systems.
• Support the tendering process with technical clarifications, proposals, and compliance matrices.
• Conduct site audits, evaluate existing lighting installations, and provide retrofit/upgrade recommendations.
• Assist in the installation, supervision, testing, and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Research new technologies in LED lighting, energy efficiency, and smart/IoT lighting systems.
• Other duties at the request of the Electro Trading management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Applied Arts, or a related field from a reputable university.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3DMax, Lumion, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Photoshop is a must.
• Excellent creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
