Lighting SME

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical authority for roadway, highway, and infrastructure lighting
• Review and approve lighting designs, drawings, and specifications submitted by contractors and consultants
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and energy-efficient lighting practices
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure contractor adherence to lighting design and specifications
• Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and design modifications related to lighting systems
• Provide technical guidance on electrical layouts, luminaires, control systems, and energy management
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and traffic teams for coordinated design implementation
• Support project handover by reviewing as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and maintenance manuals
• Review installation methodologies, lighting fixture placement, and electrical integration
• Provide input on value engineering, sustainability, and cost optimization for lighting systems
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Mentor and guide junior lighting engineers and electrical staff within the PMC team

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in lighting design and supervision for road, highway, or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in a PMC or consultancy role
• In-depth knowledge of local Saudi standards, lighting codes, and energy efficiency guidelines
• Strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
• Expertise in roadway, street, and infrastructure lighting systems
