Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Commissioning Electrical Engineer who will lead end-to-end commissioning of MV / LV power systems and their interfaces to MEP (HVAC, Fire, BMS) so the asset reaches safe, compliant, and fully documented handover (FAC) on time., to spec, and fully documented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and run the commissioning program (lots, sequences, windows) aligned to the construction master schedule; keep a live CAT (Commissioning Activity Tracker) and punch/defect logs.
  • Witness and validate tests to Project Specs and international standards (IEC/BS EN/NFPA as applicable), issue completion certificates and close comments to final acceptance.
  • Prepare and review test procedures, ITPs, test packs, IRN/IRE, PSAT/SAT reports, and observation NCRs; ensure version control and audit-ready documentation.
  • Coordinate daily with GC/subcontractors/vendors/Consultant on prerequisites, energization windows, and permit-to-work.
  • Supervise and sign off commissioning of MV switchgear, RMU, transformers, LV switchboards/DBs, MCCs, VFDs, PFC, emergency power (genset/UPS), earthing & bonding, protection & metering.
  • Validate MEP system commissioning interfaces (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire/BMS) from an electrical perspective: power-up readiness, interlocks, controls, alarms, and IST participation.
  • Draft and deliver O&M and training manuals, spares lists, and warranties; support training and client sign-off.
  • Drive regular progress/technical/Cx meetings; surface risks early and execute recovery plans. Day-to-day ELV commissioning planning, priorities, and resourcing; maintain live trackers and punch/defect logs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years commissioning experience on medium-to-large electrical projects (buildings, data centers, healthcare, airports, industrial, or infrastructure).
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on with MV / LV energization, protection testing (primary/secondary injection), breaker tests, transformer testing, VFD / MCC commissioning, PFC tuning, load bank tests, and generator/UPS changeover.
  • Solid documentation discipline: test packs, ITPs, PSAT / SAT, certificates, CAT trackers, red-lines/as-builts.
  • Coordination with GC/Consultant/subs and crisp, standards-based technical communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interfaces with BMS / Fire Alarm during IST; ELV familiarity is a plus but not core.
  • Vendor exposure (e.g., ABB/Schneider/Siemens switchgear; Cummins/Kohler gensets; APC/Eaton UPS).
  • Digital tools for snagging/commissioning, and Power BI/advanced Excel for trackers and dashboards.
  • Authority/third-party approvals experience (utility tie-ins, Civil Defense/House of Expertise where applicable).
