Job Overview:

Pharmaron is seeking a LIMS Administrator to support and optimize the Provantis platform used in preclinical research operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of the system supporting study setup, scheduling, execution, reporting, and data management activities.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with scientific operations, laboratory teams, and IT partners to translate operational needs into system functionality while maintaining data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of laboratory operations, data systems, and process improvement in a fast-paced research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational stakeholders to gather requirements, map workflows, and document processes supporting Provantis and related laboratory systems
  • Configure and maintain Provantis modules to support study setup, scheduling, execution, and reporting activities
  • Serve as the Provantis Subject Matter Expert (SME) for system functionality, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with IT teams on system integrations, enhancements, and change management activities
  • Coordinate system upgrades and validation activities, including testing new functionality and verifying data accuracy
  • Perform data quality checks and support reporting enhancements associated with system updates or process changes
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to protocol management and study workflows and coordinate resolution with IT or vendors as needed
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and technical procedures
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in alignment with information security and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) supporting system use and data management processes
  • Provide system training and support to laboratory staff to ensure effective adoption of the Provantis platform
  • Deliver helpdesk-style support to resolve user and system issues impacting laboratory operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Experience supporting laboratory systems, LIMS platforms, or scientific data management systems
  • Experience administering or supporting Provantis or other laboratory informatics systems strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory workflows within preclinical research, toxicology, or regulated scientific environments preferred
  • Experience coordinating system upgrades, change management processes, or validation activities
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to translate operational requirements into system solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across scientific, operational, and IT teams
