Line Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
• Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, particularly in the food industry.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
