Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
• Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy periods
• Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service and presentation
• Use knife skills effectively for various food prep tasks, maintaining safety at all times

Experience

• Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining environments
• Proven culinary experience with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
• Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling practices
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
• Hands-on experience with catering services or large-scale food service operations is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
