Overview
Join our team as a Literacy AmeriCorps Paid Service Tutor and make a meaningful impact in your community. In this role, you’ll support adult learners in building essential reading, writing, and comprehension skills—helping them achieve personal and professional goals. You’ll create engaging learning experiences using innovative teaching strategies and technology, while also developing valuable skills in curriculum design and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized literacy instruction to adult learners.
• Develop and adapt lesson materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Support online learning through learning management systems and digital tools.
• Monitor learner progress and adjust instruction to support success.
• Collaborate with team members on curriculum development and program initiatives.
• Lead engaging, inclusive sessions that reflect best practices in adult education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, tutoring, or working with adult learners preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create clear, effective instructional materials.
• Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Pay: $33,000.00 - $33,001.00 per year
