Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorneys specializing in litigation, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and timely. This role requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Assist attorneys with case management by maintaining accurate records and tracking deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as to support case preparation.
  • Manage correspondence and communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Organize and maintain case files in iManage and in hard copy.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate project management tasks related to litigation cases.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, depositions, court hearings, managing calendars, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Litigation Assistant with experience in CA state, federal and appellate courts in a large law firm environment.
  • Strong skills in project management to effectively handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using electronic filing systems in CA and federal courts.
  • Ability to analyze problems, take initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of iManage, Microsoft Office and calendaring programs.
  • Knowledge of CCP and FRCP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
