Litigation Associate

Role Overview

As a Lateral Associate, you’ll partner directly with seasoned attorneys and clients on complex environmental litigation and mass tort matters. You’ll manage cases independently, interpret intricate regulatory frameworks, and contribute to strategic decisions that shape major federal litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support environmental litigation cases (primarily civil, federal-level)
  • Analyze complex regulatory and enforcement frameworks
  • Advise on environmental and administrative law matters
  • Manage multiple cases and maintain consistent client communication
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and produce high-quality written work

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from a top 30 law school
  • Graduation years: 2018–2022
  • GPA: 3.0+
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience in environmental litigation (civil, federal preferred)
  • Exposure to or experience with government enforcement or DOJ-related work
  • Proven ability to manage cases with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at an Am Law-ranked firm
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $260,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
