Litigation Attorney

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our Taylor team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all phases of litigation from the initial case assessment through trial and appeal.

Job Duties:

Job duties involve gathering evidence, working on pleadings and discovery, conducting interviews and court hearings, reviewing documents, analyzing data etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions:

  • Conducting discovery, including drafting discovery requests and subpoenas, conducting interviews and depositions, and reviewing documents.
  • Negotiating with opposing counsel on discovery disputes and scheduling.
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Responding to discovery requests.
  • Preparing witnesses for depositions and court appearances.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals

•Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
•Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
•Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
•Manage a caseload independently

Requirements are as follows:

JD from an accredited law school
Florida Bar License ( Federal and State court)
Extensive knowledge of legal principles and procedures
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in litigation, including trial experience
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate on behalf of clients
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in legal administrative tasks
Fluent in English
Willing to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,381.01 - $250,000.00 per year
