Senior Attorney

Remote Litigation Attorney role, for a position at the AWS Law Firm, to handle a caseload comprised of a variety of contested probate, guardianship and related matters. The role incudes several assigned paralegals to assist with the cases, and would be part of growing firm of approximately total 20 people.

Duties:

- Manage assigned clients/cases in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner;

- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Assist with litigation matters, including attending hearings and depositions
- Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
- Admission to the FL state bar association;
- Strong knowledge of civil and probate procedure;
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed;

- Meets billable hour requirement;
