Litigation Attorney

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its New York City office. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong experience in commercial disputes, with a particular focus on construction-related matters. The role offers the opportunity to handle complex, high-stakes cases for a broad client base while working within a highly regarded national platform. Candidates must have at least 4 years of commercial litigation experience to be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, with emphasis on construction-related disputes, including contract claims, delay and defect cases, and payment issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Manage depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on risk management and dispute resolution strategies related to construction and commercial contracts.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive client service.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in New York.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation, with significant exposure to construction law matters preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively as part of a larger litigation team.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
