Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in Toxic Tort cases, particularly those involving asbestos exposure. The successful candidate will represent clients in legal proceedings, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and contribute to the overall success of our litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in toxic tort cases involving asbestos exposure
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
  • Manage all aspects of case management from inception to resolution
  • Prepare for trial by gathering evidence, drafting pleadings, and organizing exhibits
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Participate in discovery and appellate processes as necessary
  • Collaborate with experts and other legal professionals to build strong cases

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active license to practice in the state of IL
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in toxic tort or asbestos cases
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
  • Proven ability in settlement negotiation and case management
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations related to toxic tort cases
  • Familiarity with discovery processes and appellate litigation
