Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury

We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 2–5 years of personal injury experience who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable handling litigation workflows with minimal supervision. This role is ideal for someone who understands PI litigation and values efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will play a central role in supporting active personal injury litigation matters from discovery through resolution. You will work closely with attorneys and staff to manage discovery, medical records, calendaring, court filings, and scheduling while ensuring cases move forward efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation & Discovery Support

  • Prepare and organize discovery requests and discovery responses
  • Review opposing party discovery responses
  • Prepare subpoenas and objections
  • Draft deposition objections and assist with deposition-related issues
  • Draft and respond to DME responses and objections
  • Prepare meet & confer correspondence
  • Assist with motions to compel
  • Prepare applications for service by publication
  • Prepare default judgment paperwork and supporting documents
  • Prepare minor’s compromise paperwork

Medical Records & Damages Support

  • Follow up on and obtain medical records
  • Review, organize, and summarize medical records
  • Retrieve and organize loss-of-earnings documentation (W-2s, tax returns, etc.)

Court Filings & Case Administration

  • Draft and prepare CMC statements, TSC/OSC declarations, and related filings
  • Handle ongoing case-related correspondence, including OPC email replies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date litigation calendars

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule expert depositions
  • Book appearance attorneys
  • Coordinate and schedule client appointments, including DMEs, depositions, and preparation sessions
  • Manage calendaring deadlines in active litigation matters

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using modern legal software
  • Experience or strong interest in using AI tools to improve efficiency, including drafting, summarization, and workflow optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
