Loadboard dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Loadboard Dispatcher to join our transportation operations team. In this role, you will coordinate freight movements by efficiently managing load assignments, communicating with carriers, and utilizing advanced transportation management systems. Your proactive approach will ensure timely deliveries, optimize fleet utilization, and support seamless supply chain operations. Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage loadboard platforms to assign freight loads accurately and promptly to carriers.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear understanding of dispatch instructions.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve transportation planning efficiency.
• Enter data precisely into transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to maintain accurate records of shipments and dispatch activities.
• Coordinate shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring compliance with delivery timelines and customer requirements.
• Support fleet management by tracking vehicle status, maintenance needs, and driver availability using AS400 and other logistics software.
• Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching within freight or logistics environments; familiarity with freight management is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), including Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in using GPS, GIS, and other location-tracking tools for transportation planning and fleet monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and making informed dispatch decisions.
• Ability to perform data entry accurately under tight deadlines; experience with data entry tools like AS400 is a plus.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is advantageous. Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per week
