Loader Operator

Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate the asphalt loader (Skid Loader ) for loading, transporting, and feeding asphalt materials and aggregates in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loader to load asphalt, aggregates, and materials into dump trucks, asphalt pavers, or stockpiles
• Ensure proper material handling without segregation or contamination
• Maintain correct bucket positioning and loading techniques
• Support continuous asphalt paving operations to avoid delays
• Perform daily pre-start inspections (engine, hydraulics, brakes, tires, bucket)
• Monitor equipment performance and report defects immediately
• Follow site instructions, traffic management plans, and safety procedures
• Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area
• Park and secure equipment safely after work
• Strictly adhere to HSE rules and road construction safety standards
• Wear PPE at all times
• Operate machinery within designated areas and speed limits
• Report near-misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Loader Operator in asphalt or road works
• Valid heavy equipment operator license (Qatar or transferable GCC license preferred)
• Experience working with hot asphalt materials is essential
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
