Loan Processor

First Commercial Bank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loan Processor to support our consumer and commercial lending operations in Seguin, Texas. This position is an in-person position located in Seguin, Texas. This role is responsible for processing commercial and consumer loan files from application through closing while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple files in a fast-paced community bank environment.

Position Responsibilities

· Process consumer and commercial loan files from application to funding.

· Collect, review, and verify documentation for underwriting.

· Obtain credit reports and evaluate non-real estate collateral.

· Prepare debt-to-income calculations, financial summaries, and loan presentations.

· Order and track third-party reports including appraisals, inspections, title work, and insurance.

· Review loan documents for accuracy and compliance with bank policy and regulations.

· Coordinate closings with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, and insurance providers.

· Prepare Adverse Action Notices when required.

· Ensure proper documentation, lien filings, and collateral perfection.

· Support loan officers with follow-up on past-due loans as needed.

· Maintain clear communication regarding loan status and timelines.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of loan processing experience (bank experience preferred)

· Experience with consumer and/or commercial loans

· Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.

· Professional communication skills with customers and internal staff.
