Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (LOA)

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and excited to support high-performing loan officers in a fast-paced mortgage environment? Jeff Cook Real Estate’s Mortgage Division is looking for a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to work closely with our licensed Loan Officers, help manage loan pipelines, and ensure an outstanding borrower experience.

What You’ll Do

As a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (LOA), you will:

  • Support Loan Officers throughout the loan origination process, from Lead to application and through closing.
  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and tracking loan documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, title companies, underwriters, and internal teams to gather required documents and updates.
  • Enter and maintain accurate loan data in the loan origination system.
  • Follow up on missing items and outstanding conditions to help loans stay on track and close on time.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and updating borrowers and partners about loan status.
  • Provide administrative support as needed (calls, emails, scheduling, client follow-up).

  • Familiarity with mortgage lending practices and documentation (preferred but not always required).

Preferred (but Not Required)

  • Previous experience in mortgage, real estate, customer service, administrative support, or loan processing.
  • Knowledge of loan origination software (e.g., Encompass).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
