Position Overview

The CAMP Local Strategist is the owner of the "Local" product, ensuring all listings, directories, and related local placements are successfully set up, maintained, and accurately reported on. This role is accountable for the execution and success of the CAMP Local package, translating its performance into client-friendly narratives focused on calls, leads, and visibility.

What is CAMP Local?

CAMP Local is CAMP Digital’s proprietary local content and visibility program built specifically for home service brands (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and multi-trade businesses).

As search evolves in an AI-driven world, traditional SEO alone is no longer enough. CAMP Local is a structured, monthly content and local authority strategy designed to help service companies:

  • Stay visible across AI-powered and traditional search platforms.
  • Strengthen brand authority in priority markets.
  • Improve local engagement and discoverability.
  • Support conversion-focused content that drives real business results.

The program combines:

  • Technical & structured content development (manufacturer pages, product hierarchy pages, optimized service content).
  • Local engagement content at scale (city-specific engagement pages, blog content, and performance-driven email support).
  • Social & platform integration (SEO-supported social distribution and local visibility reinforcement).
  • Ongoing content enhancements to improve indexing, accessibility, and AI-readiness.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

Own Local & Brand Page Execution:

  • Manage the execution of all Local engagement pages.
  • Oversee development and optimization of Brand/Manufacturer pages.
  • Ensure page structure, content hierarchy, and internal linking align with local search best practices.
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality control across accounts.

Lead Onboarding & Page Launch Strategy:

  • Assist in collecting required data and assets for new accounts (service areas, brand partnerships, content inputs, etc.).
  • Assist in establishing rollout priorities for local and brand page development.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and communication with clients.
  • Set initial benchmarks for visibility and indexing performance.

Monitor & Report on Local Visibility Impact

  • Track page performance including impressions, rankings, engagement metrics, and lead impact.
  • Identify opportunities to expand or refine local and brand coverage.
  • Provide data storytelling by translating performance into client-friendly insights tied to calls, leads, and visibility metrics.
  • Support Project Managers with structured reporting updates.

Maintain Process & Program Excellence

  • Keep documentation, templates, and workflows updated.
  • Ensure consistency in how local and brand pages are deployed across accounts.
  • Manage renewals and ongoing optimization cycles.
  • Identify efficiencies to improve scalability of the CAMP Local program.

Professional Competencies, Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in SEO and local search.
  • Experience with local listings/aggregators and directory-type programs.
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, Semrush, Google Search Console, Jira, Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing repeatable workflows.
  • Ability to translate Local performance into client-friendly narratives.

Compensation

Annual salary: $55,000 to $70,000 (Dependent on qualifications)
