Logistics Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Accountant with hands-on experience in Fresa Gold (Freight ERP) to manage financial operations within a freight forwarding environment. The role involves job costing, invoicing, vendor management, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and profitability across all logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage job costing for air, sea, and land shipments in Fresa, ensuring all operational costs are accurately captured
• Monitor shipment profitability and highlight discrepancies or margin leakages
• Prepare and issue customer invoices as per agreed quotations and ensure correct VAT application (5%)
• Process and verify supplier invoices (airlines, shipping lines, transporters, agents)
• Perform vendor reconciliations and ensure timely payments
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain aging reports
• Handle bank reconciliations and support cash flow management
• Generate financial reports such as job profitability, cost analysis, and revenue tracking from Fresa
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist during audits
• Coordinate closely with operations and sales teams to ensure accuracy in financial data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics / freight forwarding accounting
• Mandatory experience in Fresa Gold ERP
• Strong understanding of job costing and freight charges
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
