Accountant - Logistics

We are currently seeking JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT who has extensive experience in accounting - logistics transportation to join our team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.

Position: JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job Description:

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, and supporting our financial reporting efforts. This position is ideal for individuals with 1-2 years of relevant UAE experience who are looking to start their career in accounting.

Please note that the role is based in our office headquarters at Umm Al Quwain. Previous experience in the construction, heavy equipment rental or trucking industry will be an advantage to you.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in managing the invoicing process, including the creation, distribution, and tracking of invoices.

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

· Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.

· Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

· Carry out bank reconciliations, related transactions, and report Cash balances on a daily basis.

· Petty cash reimbursement and storing confirmations from clients.

· Intercompany transactions are recorded and reconciled.

· Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial audits.

· Assist with the record retention procedure, which involves certain accounting reports and data.

· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· MINIMUM 1-2 YEARS of experience in accounting or finance (UAE and/or home country) within the transport and logistics industries.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with specific knowledge on general contracting, transport and logistics industry.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
