SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator – Interconnection will support material tracking and delivery for substation construction and interconnection projects. This role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate coordination of shipments, maintaining documentation, and facilitating vendor communication. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with internal teams and external partners to keep projects on schedule and resolve logistical issues promptly. This position reports to the Logistics Manager - Interconnection.

It is a remote position, working out of your home office and traveling to project sites. Working hours are Monday through Friday, ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. As necessary, you may be required to work overtime and on weekends. Travel, up to 5% of the time, is expected.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Material Management & Coordination:
    • Oversee and track material orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
    • Coordinate the delivery, shipping, and storage of materials to meet interconnection project needs.
    • Ensure vendor services align with purchase order terms and project requirements.
    • Maintain real-time material tracking with locations and delivery dates, accessible to all project teams.
  • Reporting & Problem-Solving:
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations related to material management, industry trends, and vendor performance.
    • Taking the initiative to problem-solve material delays and communicate expectations to ensure project continuity.
  • Vendor & Supply Chain Management:
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, fostering effective partnerships.
    • Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and re-evaluation processes for optimal vendor performance.
    • Work with internal teams and vendors to address unacceptable products and ensure timely returns or replacements.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Work with engineering, procurement, project management, and construction teams to align material delivery with project schedules.
    • Support coordination between internal teams and external partners.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or materials coordination.
  • Familiarity with shipping processes and vendor communication.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for job-related activities.
