Logistics Coordinator

As a Logistics Coordinator at Rexing Companies, you will play a pivotal role in the brokerage operations side of our business. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for helping customers move their products with top-tier customer service, ensuring that shipments are handled with accuracy and dependability. You will leverage our vast network of carriers, negotiating and coordinating transportation solutions for each load. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily freight movements and ensure timely delivery from point A to point B.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers.
  • Contact carriers to negotiate rates, resolve disputes, and ensure efficient load assignments.
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their loads.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies during the transportation process.
  • Monitor market conditions and adjust strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth logistics and operational flow.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, and solving logistical issues in real-time.

  • Decision-Making: Confidence to make crucial decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiating skills to work with carriers and secure favorable rates.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle the fast pace and dynamic nature of the logistics industry.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in computers, including logistics software and Microsoft Office.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration : Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, communicate openly with coworkers, and contribute to shared goals to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.


Hours

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM. However, since freight never stops, there may be additional hours required to support operations and ensure the smooth movement of goods.


Work Environment:

Office-based role in a fast-growing, collaborative team environment.
