Logistics cum Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Logistics cum Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including the procurement of goods and services, vendor management, inventory control, shipping, and delivery. This role ensures that all materials, equipment, and supplies are procured and delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with budgetary and operational requirements.

Logistics Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including customs clearance and transportation.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local shipping regulations.
  • Manage logistics documentation such as shipping invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to align supply with demand.
  • Implement supply chain best practices and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement and logistics roles.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement principles.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and incoterms.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
