Position Overview:
We are seeking a high-level Transportation Coordinator with strong, hands-on logistics experience and proven leadership capability. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily transportation operations, including route optimization, fleet utilization, and driver management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing complex, high-volume distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily transportation and dispatch operations
• Strategically plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and service reliability
• Build and manage trailer loads electronically to ensure optimal capacity utilization
• Supervise, coach, and hold drivers accountable for performance and safety standards
• Oversee fleet maintenance scheduling and ensure transportation assets are operating at peak efficiency
• Identify and resolve operational challenges in real time
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in routing, cost control, and service levels

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (required)
• Strong, directly related experience in transportation/logistics leadership (required)
• Proven track record managing drivers, routes, and fleet operations
• Experience in high-volume distribution, preferably in food & beverage or similar industry
• Advanced organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer proficiency (TMS, routing systems, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
