Logistics Liability Risk and Claims Manager (Nacora)- Middle East, Egypt and Turkey

We are seeking a professional to manage the Istanbul Claims Center for the Middle East, Egypt, and Turkey region. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire claims process and ensuring effective handling of logistics liability claims from external parties, including the recovery of costs from subcontractors.

• Professionally handle logistics liability claims: Maintain and implement the claims handling procedures in line with the Global Standard and expectations of the Kuehne+Nagel Group.
• Oversee the entire claims process from filing to resolution.
• Investigate and analyse claims to determine liability and appropriate compensation.
• Handling, Analysis, legal assessment of logistics liability claims: Claims Handling through use of a broad spectrum of transportation knowledge such as Maritime law, Warehouseman’s Legal Liability,Freight Forwarding, Airfreight Liability and Road Logistics.
• Accurately manage the financial and administrative aspects of liability claims in the claim management system, including effective e-filing, setting up reserves, claim negotiation, settlements, and recoveries.
• Providing transparency in claim data and reporting statistics by maintaining impeccable claim data through the proprietary e-claims system and preparing and discussing reports with national management on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Actively investigate, analyse, and pursue recoveries against third parties.
• Communicate with customers, carriers and cargo surveyors to resolve claims efficiently
• Conducting effective trainings on claims handling, procedures and prevention measures and implementation of standardized processes
• Provide day-to-day support to internal customers and their staff on claim-related matters.
• Educate and make recommendations based on insurance policies while highlighting the importance of cargo insurance solutions in respect of risk transfer.
• Manage litigation; instruct lawyers, monitor the progress of litigated claims, report adequately to stakeholders, and attend mediations.

• Graduated from universities in relevant fields.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to building a high‑performing team.
• Motivate and lead a team of claims specialists, strengthening and developing their professional knowledge to meet Kuehne+Nagel Group’s global standards.
• Ensure the team consistently meets performance targets and maintains high service standards.
• Build lasting professional relationships, maintain confidentiality, and engage effectively with all business stakeholders.
• Show passion for customer service with excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
• Exhibit excellent problem‑solving abilities and act as the day‑to‑day escalation point for claims handling.
• Apply strong legal and analytical skills in managing claims.
• To possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English.
