Fleet Fuels LLC is a renewable and petroleum fuel distributor based in Portland

Oregon, specializing in last-mile delivery to vehicle fleets, heavy equipment and bulk

fuel tanks. We operate 24/6 (Sunday through Friday) to keep our customers moving

without interruption.

Since launching operations in 2022, we’ve grown to a fleet of six delivery trucks and

proudly serve key accounts such as the City of Portland and TriMet. Our team plays a

vital role in providing emergency weather response and 24/7 fueling support for first

responders and critical infrastructure.

This is a fast-paced, mission-critical environment where operations often continue

through weekends, severe weather and emergency events. As Logistics Manager, you’ll

lead a dedicated team to respond quickly and effectively under pressure - helping fuel

our growth and keeping communities running.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Fueling Operations - Manage the scheduling and dispatching of

deliveries to ensure on-time, accurate services for fleets, bulk tanks and

emergency response accounts.

  • Support and Manage Drivers - Supervise drivers, troubleshoot issues in real

time and foster a culture of safety, accountability and teamwork.

  • Coordinate Emergency Response - Direct fueling efforts during storms, severe

weather and disaster events to keep first responders and critical infrastructure

running.

  • Be Available After Hours - Remain on-call outside normal business hours to

support drivers and resolve urgent operational needs.

  • Monitor Fleet Performance - Track truck utilization, route efficiency and driver

performance to reduce downtime and improve delivery reliability.

  • Visit Customer Sites & Build Profiles - Regularly visit customer locations, create

detailed customer profiles and share critical site information with drivers to

ensure safe, efficient deliveries.

  • Source Supply for Customer Deliveries - Secure and schedule fuel supply to

meet customer demand, balancing cost, availability and delivery timing. Maintain

database of supplier pricing.

  • Ensure Compliance & Safety - Uphold DOT, OSHA and environmental

regulations; maintain driver qualifications and vehicle inspection schedules. Run

safety training and driver training meetings.

  • Track KPI’s, Optimize Processes & Costs - Analyze logistics data to identify

inefficiencies, fuel inventory and delivery metrics, recommending improvements.

Streamline workflows and manage operational expenses.

  • Collaborate with Leadership - Work closely with company owners and

managers to align logistics operations with Fleet Fuels’ growth goals.

  • Communicate with Customers - Serve as a point of contact for key accounts,

addressing service needs and coordinating special projects.

  • Hands-On Training of New Employees - Ensure successful on boarding and

adherence to company procedures.

  • Report On-Site for all Emergencies - Assist with fuel spill clean-up and other

critical situations.

Qualifications & Skills - Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, dispatching, fleet management, scheduling,

or related operations.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Comfortable using scheduling software, GPS/telematics systems and basic

office tools (excel, email, etc).

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

as needed.

  • Willingness to be on-call after hours to support drivers and field operations as

needed.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • Experience in fuel distribution, transportation or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with route optimization and delivery scheduling software.
  • CDL license or experience supervising CDL drivers (plus but not required).

Compensation & Benefits:

$72,000 - $90,000, depends on experience.
