Job Description – Logistics Manager

Location: Manjusar, Vadodara

Experience: 5–6 Years

Qualification: Graduate (Any Stream)

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Dispatch Management:

• Oversee complete logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and dispatch activities

• Plan and schedule daily/weekly dispatches based on production and customer requirements

• Ensure timely material delivery to customers and sites

• Supervise loading/unloading activities and ensure adherence to safety standards

Vendor & Transport Coordination:

• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and logistics partners for vehicle arrangements

• Negotiate freight rates to optimize logistics costs

• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network for transport and logistics services

Documentation & Compliance:

• Oversee preparation of dispatch documents including e-way bills, challans, invoices, packing

lists, etc.

• Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies related to logistics

• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, logistics expenses, and shipment tracking

Team & Process Management:

• Lead, guide, and monitor the logistics/dispatch team for smooth operations

• Implement best logistics practices to streamline processes

• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular MIS/logistics reports

• Coordinate with production, stores, sales, and accounts departments for dispatch planning

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Work closely with stores for material availability

• Monitor and control transportation and logistics costs

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational efficiency

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of logistics, dispatch, and supply chain processes

• Proven experience in managing transporter networks and freight negotiations

• Good leadership and team-handling skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems

• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduate (Any stream)

• 5–6 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain management

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
