Job Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and implement import logistics plans for wind power equipment (including standard parts and oversized items such as blades and towers), spare parts and tools in Egypt, coordinate the entire process from international transportation to Egyptian ports and domestic land transport (mainly by road), review import documents and monitor logistics milestones to ensure timeliness.
  2. Coordinate the entire process of port operations in Egypt, including unloading, warehousing and inland transportation to the final project site, so as to ensure the seamless connection of goods from entry to delivery.
  3. Lead the entire import customs clearance process in Egypt, ensure all goods comply with Egyptian customs regulations, and prepare, review and submit various necessary customs documents such as Bill of Lading and Commercial Invoice.
  4. Maintain close communication with the internal supply chain team of the company, Egyptian customs and customs brokers, resolve various issues during the customs clearance process promptly, and ensure customs clearance efficiency.
  5. Track and interpret changes in Egypt's import and export policies and taxes (duties, VAT), provide targeted strategic recommendations for the company, and simultaneously screen, evaluate and manage logistics service providers such as freight forwarders and inland transporters.
  6. Align with the needs of internal project teams and spare parts centers to arrange logistics delivery accurately, identify potential risks such as transportation delays and cargo damage, develop contingency plans, and handle abnormal situations during transportation with effective solutions.


Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above, with preferred majors in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related fields; a minimum of 8 years of experience in international import logistics or supply chain management in Egypt, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience in import customs clearance and oversized (OOG) shipment transportation management in Egypt.
  2. Have an in-depth mastery of Egypt's import customs clearance processes and regulations, and be familiar with HS codes, tax policies and knowledge related to preferential Certificates of Origin such as COC/COI required by GOEIC.
  3. Possess practical experience in oversized (OOG) equipment logistics management, and have an understanding of relevant transport permit applications, route surveys and special loading requirements.
  4. Be familiar with international freight operations (especially LCL, air and break-bulk shipping), proficient in Incoterms 2020, and skilled in office software and logistics management systems such as ERP and WMS.
  5. Fluent in Arabic and English in listening, speaking, reading and writing (mandatory), able to conduct seamless written and verbal communication with the team at the Chinese headquarters; proficiency in Chinese or French is highly preferred.
  6. Have excellent problem-solving skills and stress resistance, able to adapt to a fast-paced and high-demand project environment; be detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, possess outstanding communication, coordination and interpersonal skills, and be willing to travel on business to ports, warehouses or project sites as required.
