Job Title: Logistics and Material Control
Reports to: General Manager
Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY
Responsible for performing the daily activities needed to support production and warehouse operations. Primary responsible are shipping and receiving materials, maintaining an accurate inventory, periodic cycle counts, pulling material, identifying parts and packaging parts for shipment. The overall upkeep and organization of the warehouse. Responsible organization of facility storage and grounds.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Establish and maintain an organized and clean inventory area.
• Responsible for the upkeep and organization of Inventory items and warehouse areas.
• Maintain accurate locations of materials.
• Issue material to work orders
• Close Work Orders (WIP to finished goods)
• Receive items into the system by verifying parts match the description and requirements of the purchase order.
• Verify part counts on receipts from Purchase Orders and work orders
• Save test certificates, MTR’s and all quality documentation as directed.
• Pull parts for parts orders and identify all items by part number.
• Pull production work using pick sheets.
• Prepare parts kits for shipments including proper labelling.
• Prepare items for shipping for outside operations.
• Prepare all shipping documents, International and Domestic packaging needs, including crating, shipment traffic and other logistical needs for the receipt or shipment of products and items.
• Take photo of equipment secured to crate/ pallet prior to final closing of package.
• Ensure priority shipments are shipped as directed, such as overnight- next day air.
• Schedule all shipments; Domestic, International and local.
• Book pickups using the internet UPS, FED-EX in support of logistical needs, company truck etc.
• Police the parts room and all items that are work in process.
• Use hand tools to secure items on pallet or shipping crate
• Load and unload shipments and deliveries by the use of forklift, dolly or by hand.
• Work with the sales department with the upkeep of shipment tables in Global Shop to account for carriers, customer shipping data, shipment types and events.
• Procure items needed to support the shipping process.
• To follow and contribute to the Company Quality Policy.
• Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.
• Follow company safety & security guidelines
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
• Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer Skills, Fed-Ex, UPS, LTL online booking
• Two years of related experience

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Global Shop training: Inventory, scheduling
• Shop floor experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting up to 30 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. The employee is frequently required to stand while performing the duties of this job (approx. 50%) walk (30%) and occasionally sit (20%). The employee is expected to lift or move materials (25% of workday)
