Job description
The International Logistics Officer is responsible for the efficient and timely import of finished goods and raw materials. The International Logistics Officer must focus on increasing customer value through reducing import costs and time. The International Logistics Officer is also responsible for the coordination of all legal and port requirements for clearing imports.
Responsibilities
-Continuous improvement - Kaizen
Develop and strength relationship with clearing agents, port authorities and governmental institutions
Manage clearance of all incoming materials (shipping lines, trucks, and air freight)
Coordinate import requirements with vendors
Coordinate clearing materials with port entities and governmental agencies
Coordinate with external entities (such as government entities) on licences, material import exemptions, and refunds
Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders. and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization
Daily/weekly/monthly data collection and analysis
Drafts local policies, procedures, plans and guidance for supply and services operations

Skills required
Essential:
Solid analytical skills - Excel
Strong understanding of supply chains
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sound report and letter writing skills in both English and Arabic
Minimum 3 years’ related experience
Desirable:
Leadership experience
Negotiation skills
Familiar with Saudi import and export regulations
