Job Summary
The Logistics & Shipping Specialist will manage and coordinate all import and export activities, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of goods. This role focuses on optimizing shipping processes, liaising with logistics partners, and maintaining smooth global trade operations.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review all shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.

Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to track and expedite shipments.

Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, export control laws, and international trade standards.

Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve customs or transportation delays.

Coordinate with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams for inbound and outbound logistics activities.

Maintain accurate shipment and clearance records, updating ERP systems accordingly.

Negotiate freight rates and monitor logistics expenses to ensure cost efficiency.

Verify import/export documentation accuracy to prevent demurrage or penalties.

Support internal and external audits, trade compliance reviews, and process improvements.

Stay current with international trade policies, customs tariffs, and shipping procedures.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in
Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in
logistics, shipping, or customs operations
, preferably within a
manufacturing or trading company
.

Hands-on experience handling
import/export documentation
and
customs clearance
.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

In-depth knowledge of
international shipping documentation

Familiarity with

incoterms

Proficient in
