Bora Bora is seeking a Logistics Specialist with hands-on experience in import/export operations, warehouse management, and co-packing (contract manufacturing) coordination to support a growing, fast-paced organization. This role is ideal for candidates who have helped build logistics and supply chain processes from the ground up in startup or high-growth environments.
The Logistics Specialist will oversee shipping, warehouse workflows, co-packing partners, and vendor coordination across New York (Staten Island) and New Jersey, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and on-time delivery as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities – Logistics, Co-Packing & Operations
- Manage domestic and international shipping, including import/export documentation, customs clearance, and trade compliance
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, co-packers, and warehouse partners in NY/NJ
- Support and manage co-packing (contract manufacturing) operations, including:
- Production scheduling and shipment coordination
- Inventory flow between suppliers, co-packers, and warehouses
- Quality, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment alignment
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory accuracy, storage, and order fulfillment
- Track shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate logistics records, shipping documentation, inventory logs, and performance reports
- Support warehouse efficiency, supply chain optimization, and cost reduction initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to support company growth
- Assist with vendor and partner management, contract coordination, and performance evaluation
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, import/export laws, safety standards, and internal SOPs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
(Associate’s degree considered with strong, relevant experience)
- 2–4+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or distribution
- Hands-on experience with import/export operations and international shipping
- Experience working with co-packing or contract manufacturing partners
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
- Experience supporting startup, grassroots, or fast-growing organizations
- Proficiency in ERP systems, logistics software, and Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in New York, Staten Island, or New Jersey logistics markets
- Exposure to ports, regional distribution centers, co-packers, or multi-location warehouses
- Proven experience building or scaling logistics and supply chain operations from early-stage to growth phase
- Background in consumer goods, food & beverage, retail, or manufacturing logistics
- Experience working in hands-on, grassroots environments where processes are still being built and refined
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $52,000 – $60,000 per year
