Position Description

The Logistics Specialist belongs to the category of specialists. The Logistics Specialist is appointed to and dismissed from the position in accordance with the Company’s internal regulations and operates within the established organizational structure of the Project.

In carrying out his/her duties, the Logistics Specialist is guided by applicable labor legislation, the Company’s internal policies, rules and regulations, internal orders and instructions, as well as this Job Description.

During temporary absence (business trip, leave, illness, etc.), the duties of the Logistics Specialist shall be performed by a person appointed in accordance with the Company’s established procedure.

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Logistics Specialist position is to coordinate and support the Project’s logistics operations, including transportation and delivery of materials and equipment, interaction with customs brokers and transport companies, and preparation and control of logistics documentation, in accordance with the Company’s internal requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of materials and equipment within the Project.
  • Interact with transport and forwarding companies regarding shipment, transportation, and delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers on customs clearance and cargo handling matters.
  • Request required documents in advance from suppliers and procurement teams for customs clearance and cargo handling.
  • Prepare, collect, and maintain logistics, transport, and customs-related documentation.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of logistics and transport documentation.
  • Track shipment and delivery statuses.
  • Monitor logistics progress, identify risks, delays, or deviations, and report them in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate logistics-related activities with procurement, warehouse, and other relevant project functions.
  • Maintain professional communication with logistics service providers and external counterparties.
  • Ensure compliance with internal regulations, confidentiality requirements, and corporate ethics.
  • Perform other logistics-related duties within the scope of assigned responsibilities.

  • Basic handling requirements for project materials and equipment.
  • English language skills sufficient for communication with international teams and suppliers.

Qualification Requirements

  • Higher or specialized education in logistics, transport, business, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or supply support activities.
  • Basic understanding of transport, delivery, and customs documentation.
  • Ability to interact effectively with logistics service providers and internal project teams.
  • Working knowledge of English for professional communication.

Rights

The Logistics Specialist has the right to:

  • Request from Company departments information and documents required to perform assigned duties.
  • Communicate with transport companies, forwarding agents, and customs brokers within assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in logistics-related meetings and coordination activities.
  • Submit proposals aimed at improving logistics efficiency.

Responsibility

  • Proper and timely execution of assigned logistics duties.
  • Compliance with Company rules, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Accuracy and completeness of logistics and transport documentation.
  • Timely identification and communication of logistics-related risks and issues.

Liability of the Materially Responsible Person (MRP)

  • Full responsibility for proper handling, storage, and delivery of project materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Control and accounting of logistics assets, including warehouse stocks, transport vehicles, and documentation.
  • Ensuring safekeeping of material assets from receipt until delivery to project sites.

Compliance with Civil Protection, Safety, and Environmental Rules

  • Ensure safe handling, transportation, and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor compliance with industrial safety, fire safety, and occupational health regulations.
  • Support implementation of safety measures in warehouses and transport operations.
  • Report hazards or potential risks related to logistics activities.
  • Promote environmentally friendly and energy-efficient logistics practices.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
  • Experience in large-scale engineering, construction, or international projects is an advantage.
  • Proven experience with logistics documentation and customs procedures.

Working Conditions

  • Work location: Karachi, Pakistan
  • Work schedule: 6 days working / 1 day off
  • Working conditions and benefits in accordance with local labor laws and internal Company policies.
