Position Summary
We are actively looking for a
Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement and logistics for turnkey, sea freight-driven energy projects, with a particular focus on
Iraq operations
. The role includes both
import and export processes
, supplier coordination, customs clearance, and on-site delivery, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution of project logistics.
Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement and logistics operations for turnkey projects, with direct involvement in
Iraq-based projects
, covering both export and import flows from origin to final site delivery.

Plan and execute end-to-end
export operations to Iraq
, including supplier coordination, international transportation, cross-border transit, customs clearance, and inland delivery to project sites.

Coordinate and manage import operations from Iraq and/or regional markets, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, documentation requirements, and local procedures.

Oversee multimodal transportation activities (sea freight, air freight, and international/domestic road transportation), ensuring seamless integration between transport modes and adherence to project timelines.

Manage full scope of import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, inspection certificates, and other mandatory trade documents.

Closely monitor border clearance processes and proactively resolve operational challenges related to Middle East trade lanes and Iraq customs practices.

Support procurement processes, including supplier coordination, RFQ management, and evaluation of logistics and transportation service providers aligned with project needs.

Control and monitor logistics and procurement costs, including freight, demurrage, customs duties, storage, and inland transportation, in line with approved budgets.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Project, Engineering, Finance) and external partners (suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, local agents) to ensure operational continuity and timely project execution.

Identify potential operational, regulatory, and geopolitical risks affecting Iraq import/export operations and develop contingency plans where necessary.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in international logistics operations, preferably within
freight forwarding or global transportation companies

Strong operational background in
sea freight (FCL/LCL) management
, including booking, carrier coordination, documentation, and shipment follow-up

Proven experience in multimodal transportation, including ocean freight, cross-border and domestic road transportation, and air freight
-
Hands-on experience in import and export customs clearance processes and international trade documentation

Prior exposure to Middle East trade lanes, preferably Iraq and surrounding regional markets, is a strong asset

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline

Strong command of written and spoken English

Solid knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and foreign trade compliance procedures

Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills with attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work independently within structured operational frameworks
