Logistics Supervisor

Key Responsibility

  • Financial Understanding: Financial understanding and work within the framework set by corporate finance.
  • Assistance to Manager: Assists Line manager and any other operational functions impacted by the plan.
  • Effective Communication: Coordinates and cooperates with supply planning and replenishment team, to ensure cost-efficient flow with high delivery service in entire value chain.
  • Operational Plan : oversee all the orders are processed accurately within agreed parameters, Handle all ad hoc issues within warehouse & escalate to stakeholders.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control measures, including accurate stock counts, cycle counting, and implementing inventory optimization techniques to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audit purposes.
  • Master Data & system Errors: Ensure that basic Master Data are updated by GMD team, Communicate with ITSD team for system errors/ issues if required.
  • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) & Warehouse Storage Equipment: Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely maintenance of equipment and predict warehouse maintenance. Establish clear procedures to guarantee timely, impartial, and compliant resolution for work accidents.
  • Claim Handling: Managing claims related to products, including those that are damaged, missing, involved in vehicle accidents, or defective.
  • Warehouse Capacity Utilization: Evaluates how efficiently a warehouse uses its space, resources, and equipment. High utilization results in cost savings, increased productivity, and better service levels.
  • External Warehouse: Evaluate and select reliable external warehouse partners based on factors like quality, cost, location, and capabilities. Reduce expenses associated with external storage.
  • Compliance with National & Company Standards : Ensures that the department complies with Arla Foods’ standards and policies as well as the applicable law.
  • Commitment to a Safe & Inclusive Work Environment : Ensure a healthy, inclusive and safe working environment, and safety mindset.
  • Quality & Food Safety Mindset : Ensure quality & food safety within in own area of responsibility, and quality and food safety mindset.
  • Key performance indicator: Develops target setting, monitors operational KPI such as (Growth and Cost, Must win Battles and Strengthening Us Now & For The Future) as well as Contribute to the delivery of departments financial performance targets.
  • Standard Operating Process & Service Level Agreement: Follow inbound / outbound and warehouse operation SOP’s as well as follow agreed service level agreement with business partners.
  • Enhancement and improvement programs: participate / Contributes to the execution of local business plan within own area. Works in close cooperation with stakeholders to develop competitive and innovative solutions.
  • Arla sustainability: Embraces Arla’s sustainability journey / practices within own area.

Task To-Do on Daily Basis

  • Ensure that all operational processes are followed efficiently and safely.
  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving goods, storage, pick & pack and shipping / dispatching .
  • Coordinate with sales / merchandiser and internal team to stream line daily operation.
  • Improve direct delivery from DC to customers.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, including inventory levels (batches, SKU, quantities and location), shipping and receiving rates, and order fulfillment rates.
  • Analyzing logistics processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Coordinate with supply planners and Arla DC to ensure cost efficient flow with high delivery service in entire value chain.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and safety
  • Lead / coach team to enhance employees performance.
  • Preparing and presenting logistics reports / KPI to line manager.
  • Sets direction for sustainability to ensure consistently energy and resource improvements and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Follow Arla uniform policy.
  • Actively engage in Cornerstone (LIA), first aid, and fire safety activities, and ensure that the team is also participating
  • Empowering the team and promoting localization.


Educational background/Experience

  • Skilled education within logistics, Warehousing or equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience with handling of goods, preferably food products.
  • Organizational skills
  • Have basic understanding about Logistic units. Coordinate with relevant functions to keep timely maintenance of material handling equipment’s
  • General Competencies : English and IT skills on a high level
  • MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook)
  • Power BI, & AI.
  • SAP Applications (EWM, ERP, BW, RFUI)
  • SFA
