Logistics & Vendor Coordinator * 1 plus year supply chain exp req

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vendor Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing vendor relationships, managing supply chain operations, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services. This role requires a strong background in logistics, procurement, and inventory management to optimize our vendor partnerships and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
• Oversee supply chain management activities including purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse distribution.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in logistics, transportation management, and order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align vendor capabilities with business needs, including e-commerce operations.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) for effective transportation planning and freight management.
• Monitor inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends in vendor performance, pricing strategies, and demand planning.
• Manage shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Lead category management initiatives to optimize sourcing strategies and materials handling processes.
• Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Experience

• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools for effective decision-making.
• Experience with 3PL providers, freight operations, and transportation planning is highly desirable.
• Proficient in materials management, packaging processes, and order picking/fulfillment strategies.
• Previous experience in vendor or supplier relationship management is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.

Pay: $46,975.34 - $56,572.45 per year
