Long-term substitute for elementary school

Saint Joseph School (SJS) is seeking a long-term substitute for elementary school.

SJS is seeking a substitute teacher for a two- to three-month period (now to December).

Essential Responsibilities

• Establishes a safe and supportive environment that is conducive to learning
• Designs and implements authentic and engaging learning experiences using WV College and Career Readiness Standards
• Adheres to SJS assessment and grading policy and guidelines
• Collaborates with other teachers in order to share best practices and provides meaningful feedback regularly
• Communicates regularly with parents
• Provides extra support to students who need it

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited university or college
• Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, peers, administrators and parents
• Able to speak in a voice that is understandable and clear
• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, excellent human-relations skills
• Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel

**Prior educational experience is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
