Role and Responsibilities -
- Develop and implement safety plans: Create and enforce site-specific safety plans, emergency procedures, and safety policies.
- Conduct inspections and audits: Routinely inspect the construction site to identify hazards, check for unsafe practices, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Perform risk assessments: Evaluate potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to mitigate risks on the site.
- Investigate accidents: Investigate all incidents and accidents, determine the root cause, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Train employees: Organize and conduct safety training sessions, workshops, and daily briefings for all site personnel to ensure they are aware of safety protocols and the correct use of equipment.
- Monitor PPE usage: Ensure workers are properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor its availability.
- Maintain records: Keep detailed records of all safety inspections, training sessions, near misses, and incident reports.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Stay up-to-date on all safety laws and regulations, and ensure the construction site is in full compliance with these requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all stages of the project and to address any safety concerns raised by workers.
