Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / F&B Manager

Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Guest Service

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations when needed.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing concerns.

Operations

• Set up the restaurant before service (tables, cutlery, condiments, etc.).
• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the service.
• Prepare and process guest bills accurately.
• Follow opening and closing procedures of the outlet.

Standards & Hygiene

• Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards at all times.
• Ensure proper handling and presentation of food and beverages.

Teamwork

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Assist team members during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in F&B service is an advantage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude, friendly personality, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
