Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Loop Check and Control Technician for a medical laboratory environment to support laboratory instrumentation systems, automation equipment, and control processes. The candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, calibration verification, signal checking, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and automation systems to ensure accurate and uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform loop checking and functional testing of laboratory instrumentation and automated systems.
- Verify signal communication between laboratory analyzers, sensors, control panels, and monitoring systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting for wiring, communication, sensor, and instrument-related issues.
- Support installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment and automation systems.
- Test and validate analog and digital signals used in laboratory devices and monitoring systems.
- Assist in calibration verification and ensure instrument accuracy before operational use.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory environmental control systems including temperature, humidity, and pressure monitoring devices.
- Coordinate with biomedical engineers, laboratory technologists, and maintenance teams during equipment servicing.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
- Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, testing reports, and technical documentation.
- Support integration and connectivity of laboratory instruments with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, infection control policies, and quality procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting analyzer communication interfaces and instrument networking issues.
- Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities for laboratory automation systems.

Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Medical Laboratory Technology (with technical equipment experience)
- Electrical Engineering
Preferred Experience
- Experience in medical laboratories, hospitals, diagnostic centers, or healthcare facilities
- Experience handling laboratory analyzers and biomedical equipment
- Familiarity with laboratory automation systems and LIS connectivity preferred
