LTL Outbound Supervisor/Dispatcher

Roy Miller Freight Lines a California LTL Motor Freight Carrier, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Supervisor to work in our San Jose, CA Service Center office.

Job Description

LTL Outbound PM Supervisor / Dispatcher

Responsibilities will include:

• LTL Driver Dispatch, monitor driver progress
• Supervise Outbound LTL Cross Dock Operation and assist with loading / unloading as required
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL loads (Afternoon Dispatcher)
• Complete Pick Ups and Deliveries as needed
• Interpret, implement, and enforce Service Center Work Instructions and Company policies
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Candidates must have proven leadership experience and the ability to lead in a fast paced environment (preferably in LTL).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem solving abilities
• Knowledge of all aspects of ensuring quality freight handling techniques preferred
• Must have computer skills, AS400, and be proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of the City and surrounding areas
• Forklift / Pallet Jack Experience
• Possessing a Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (preferred)

• Average 10 Hour Shifts (Subject to change)
• 11am Start (Subject to change)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
