Lube Technician

Position Summary

McArdle Grading Co. is seeking a dependable Lube/Oil Technician to support our fleet of heavy construction equipment. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services including lubrication, fluid checks, oil changes, and basic inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working around heavy machinery and wants to build a career in equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, haul trucks, and support vehicles
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services according to manufacturer and company schedules
• Check and maintain engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and other essential fluids
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, loose components, or potential mechanical issues and report findings to mechanics and supervisors
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Keep service truck, tools, and work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while working around heavy equipment
• Assist mechanics with basic repairs and shop duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience working with heavy equipment, diesel engines, or automotive maintenance preferred but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license
• CDL Required
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
