Lumberyard CAD Designer (1+ yrs exp req)

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various CAD software tools. This role involves creating detailed schematics and drafts for mechanical systems, ensuring that designs meet specifications and industry standards. The CAD Designer will collaborate with other team members to develop innovative solutions that enhance product functionality and performance.

Duties

• Create and maintain accurate technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for mechanical components.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in designs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine models and drawings.
• Utilize Bluebeam for markup and collaboration on design documents.
• Support the build process by providing necessary documentation and assistance during assembly phases.
• Maintain organized files of all design work to ensure easy access for future reference.

Experience

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with GD&T practices is highly desirable.
• Experience drafting technical documents, schematics, and assembly instructions is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
• A background in engineering or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
