M-Lab Administrator

The M-Lab Administrator is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and support of a maintenance lab. This includes hardware and software assistance. They ensure a safe, organized, and functional environment for all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of all equipment.

· Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues to ensure minimal downtime.

· Keep an accurate inventory of all equipment and supplies.

· Demonstrate and instruct on proper lab procedures and equipment usage.

· Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols are strictly followed within the lab.

· Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.

· Stay up-to-date with new technologies and relevant safety procedures.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

· Proficiency in the operation, maintenance, and repair of various computer hardware including windows laptops, macbooks, desktops, servers etc.

· Familiarity with different operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).

· Ability to read and understand technical manuals and protocols.

Soft Skills:

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain technical.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Technical Experience:

· Minimum ICS/B.Sc Computer Science or a relevant certification in a field like Information Technology or Computer Science.

· Previous experience in a similar role, such as computer maintenance, technical support, or a help desk position, is often required.

· Minimum 5 years of work experience in relevant industry.
