Machine Maintenance - Mechanic

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance of sewing machines, cutting machines, ironing/pressing equipment, and other garment machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in machines.
• Maintain records of machine breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly to machine breakdowns.
• Calibrate and adjust machines to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Work closely with production supervisors to ensure machines meet operational requirements.
• Implement and follow safety standards during maintenance activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical machine components.
• Train operators on proper machine handling and basic troubleshooting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase machine life and reduce maintenance costs.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of garment machinery (sewing, cutting, finishing, ironing, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to read machine manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (or relevant field).
• 2–5 years of experience in machine maintenance in the garment/apparel industry.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
